Bring the Leave No Trace Principles to Your Unit!
Participants in this LNT Trainers Course receive introductory training in Leave No Trace skills and Outdoor Ethics. The LNT Trainer Course assists the participants in learning more about the seven principles of Leave No Trace and teaching techniques for disseminating these low impact outdoor skills to their Scouting units.
At the completion of the course, all participants will be recognized by the Center for Outdoor Ethics as LNT Trainers who can train Scouts and the community-at-large to be conservation minded. This course is open to adults registered with the BSA and to BSA youth (Boy Scouts - First Class and above or Venturers) .
The Spring 2019 LNT Trainer course will be held March 8 -10, 2019 at Camp Sidney Dew in NWGA council (3624 Everett Springs Road, Armuchee, Ga. 30105). The cost is $50.00, which includes Supplies and Food for the weekend. The course will run from Friday (7pm) to mid-afternoon on Sunday (4 pm). Participants should bring Completed BSA health form A&B, Uniform, Sleeping bag, Camp Chair, Pen, Paper, Mess Kit, Water Bottle, and Personal Affects.
There will be a minimum of 4 participants needed to hold class and a maximum of 20. Register soon on nwgabsa.org.
